I've sworn off Biostar motherboards after a bios upgrade bricked the board, and 
their support was totally worthless (Finally found the BIOS recovery info on a 
tech Blog...  apparently this process was unknown to their tech support!)

I often look at http://techreport.com/.  They do regular system reviews which 
seem to be reasonable.
