Yessir - came with Jack.
Connections appear ok (I believe they are set up by Rakarrack).
The only odd message in the log was that it couldn't lock memory.

And Pulseaudio will not die, if that's important.

Experiment repeated with different laptop, same results, except it 
sounded like it was actually taking input from the onboard mic (which 
wasn't turned on anywhere).
