The Philadelphia Area Linux Users Group (PLUG) cordially invites you to a PLUG West meeting on Monday, May 16 at FIS in Malvern, PA from 7-9 pm. See below for directions to the meeting location. This month, PLUG West welcomes Dimitry Golubov, who will be speaking about using Squeak on Android. Squeak is an open-source implementation of Smalltalk, an object-oriented programming language with more than 30 years of history. Squeak offers a rich set of GUI development tools, including integrated IDE, debugger, and hierarchy of widget classes. Squeak Virtual Machine has ports for major PC and Mac operating systems, and also for handheld devices. This presentation introduces a Squeak VM port for Android, an operating system for tablets and cellphones developed at Google, and based on Linux. http://squeak.org http://www.android.com Interested in Linux, BSD, and Free Software?
