The list exists.  All posts to plug-announce are forwarded to the main
discussion list (so, there's no need to subscribe to both unless you're
doing the digest thing and want announcements called out).  [...]

I wasn't subscribed, but I am now.  We'll see how that works.

Sorry to waste time with what looks like a non-issue, especially since it doesn't seem like anyone else is affected.
