Yeah... Xubuntu doesn't get quite as much love. It shows sometimes. 
When you say it won't run, is it launching and quitting or just not coming up? Have you done ps ax | grep banshee to see if it's already running?

Now banshee won't run. I haven't had this much trouble installing and maintaining software since Red Hat 7.1

I know the last two iterations of ubuntu could mount an iPod Touch inÂrhythmbox out of the box. ÂAmarok with some tweaking. ÂTrying to get it to work with my son's laptop, running Kubuntu 11.10 and just can't get ti to work. ÂInstalled rhythmbox and gtkpod, still nothing. ÂFollowed the documentation here,Âhttps://help.ubuntu.com/community/PortableDevices/iPhone ÂStill no good.

Nothing I could find specific to 11.10, so wondering if there is some regression.Â
