[PLUG] synergy gotcha

I love this app. It allows me to use one keyboard and mouse on two systems, regardless of OS.
However, Synergy *does not like* Vmware or VirtualBox on linux or a less reliable OS. I have little trouble figuring out why, but that doesn't make it any less of a PITA. vSphere client's Open Console function is fairly useless too.
