[PLUG] hdmi audio with linux mint 12 geforce 220

Hi, I've been trying to troubleshoot why I have no HDMI audio with my NVIDIA Geforce 220 on linux Mint 12.  I've been using this.

http://http.download.nvidia.com/XFree86/gpu-hdmi-audio-document/gpu-hdmi-audio.html

dmesg tells me my eld is 0, it has to be 1 but

cat /proc/asound/card1/eld#1.0

shows:
