I had an argument with a poster a few months ago about this same idea. He was telling someone on a forum that they needed a firewall appliance to properly secure his network. I told him that was not true and that IPTABLES could do the same job for less money. I asked him to tell me the difference to which he could not but still insisted that the appliance would stop everything. I believe he was in sales. -- Regards Robert Linux The adventure of a lifetime.
