it is mainly a firewall distro but you can turn that (and other
built-in) functionality on/off at your discretion. for example, right
now i use it on an old dell box only as an openvpn server sitting behind
my firewall. i do that only because the firewall distro that use doesn't
have openvpn built into it yet.
