   With respect to aliasing rm to rm -i, that is fine in theory,
but you have to be careful about it becoming a crutch. If having
the prompts makes you so comfortable with it that you regularly
call "rm *" in areas that contain files you want to keep, you'll be
in for a nasty surprise when you switch to a system where the alias
isn't in place, or you end up in a shell that doesn't have the
alias defined.

   Moral of the story? Keep backups of things you care about, and
be careful when working with sharp knives.
