[PLUG] audio card recommendation |
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 What is a good audio card? When I assembled my current system I had trouble with the integrated audio (ADI1986A CoundMAX 6-channel High Definition Audio CODEC "Supports Jack Sensing Technology" "Supports S/PDIF out interface".) I ended up installing an off-the-shelf audio card that turns out to be "C-Media Electronics CMI8738/C3DX PCI Audio Device" Now that I've got my turntable working again I find that Audacity only receives the left channel. Checking the cable/connections clearly shows it's the audio card. I'd like to get a good audio card - maybe even one with 4 (or more) channels. The system has one PCI slot available (after I remove the current audio card.) Any recommendations?
