As I said at the meeting, I'd be very interested in a talk on
Blender, esp. 1) what is it good for/not good for 2) how to get
started with it

After seeing http://www.sintel.org/ I installed and launched it, then got stuck at "OK, now what?"

How about at PLUG North and/or West too?
