I agree. I know a lot of FOSS users on Facebook. Not to mention Facebook is built on top of numerous FOSS tools, and they do contribute to several FOSS projects.

I would have thought so but it turns out that younger (like half my age
or less) folks do a lot on facebook - even FOSS folks.  I was hoping to
encourage some of these folks to join our listserv, attend meetings, and
maybe even (gasp!) volunteer to give talks.
