[PLUG] [plug-announce] PLUG North, Tue, Nov 12, 2013 - "Dashboards with Dashing" by Jonathan Simpson and "2D Arrays in C++" by Walt Mankowski (at CoreDial in Blue Bell, 7pm)

This month, PLUG North has a double feature: two short presentations.

Jonathan Simpson will give a talk on Dashing:

Dashing is a dashboard system suitable for a variety of tasks and fairly
easy to get data into. Dashing is intended to provide data at a glance
for a department by displaying it on a TV or monitor. Jonathan will also
demo how it can be used to pull data from a variety of sources.

Walt Mankowski will give a presentation on 2D arrays in C++:

Arrays and pointers are the hardest part about C to learn. And as nasty
as they are, 2 dimensional arrays are even worse. Fortunately, C++ allows
you to encapsulate most of the ugliness in classes. In this talk, Walt
will demonstrate a simple 2d array class.

Come and talk with other Linux users about Free and Open Source Software!
Never been to a meeting before? New to Linux? Please help us plan an
series of new-user-friendly talks.

The meeting will take place on Tuesday, November 12, from 7-9pm (7-8
General Q&A, 8-9 Presentation) at CoreDial in Blue Bell, PA.
