We are currently have an open position for a business analyst. This is an on-site position in Center City Philadelphia.
Business Analyst
As a business analyst you will serve as a liaison between the customer, the project manager and technical staff. Your job will be to work with customers to discover, document and communicate a business workflows for EthosCE, a Drupal-based learning management system for continuing education. You will work with technical staff to ensure they are able to understand and estimate the business requirements and propose alternative workarounds as necessary.
Responsibilities- Lead discovery meetings with customer to understand their business requirements, recommend business priorities, and advise customers on options, risks, and costs.
- Develop requirements and test cases as user stories, including workflow and technical diagrams
- Work with software developers to communicate requirements, discover solutions and help define the company’s approach to solving customers’ business problems.
- Work with quality assurance team to ensure understanding of business requirements and assist with testing as necessary.
- Analyse the impact of changes across existing customer implementations.
- Manage projects as necessary.
Qualifications- A four-year degree in an information technology field

Two years of experience in technical business analysis in a software development environment
Preferred Qualifications- Experience in web development, including open source frameworks such as Drupal
- Experience writing test cases
- Knowledge or experience in learning management systems
- Knowledge or experience in continuing education
- Experience with hospital systems, insurance or association customers
- Interest in open source software and the open source community
