Ideally, at least, a kid's response to finding a desired internet destination blocked might go beyond a) trying to get around the block or b) accepting it without a word. It might also spur a conversation about the child's interests and *why* the site is blocked. That means that filtering can be a tool for good parenting, not just a tool to avoid having to parent.
