Re: [PLUG] [plug-announce] Wed, Sep 2, 2015: PLUG Central - "Debian: The Community and the Package Management System" by Guo Yixuan (7pm at USP)

I decided to focus more on the packaging side, with a little bit of coverage on the community side, but any kind of question/advice is welcome.

This month's meeting will feature a talk by Guo Yixuan on Debian.
The presentation will cover both the package managment and
infrastructure that underlies the Linux distributions in the
Debian familiy, and the Free Software community that builds
and supports it.

The meeting will be held at our usual location:

University of the Sciences in Philadelphia (USP)
Griffith Hall (Room "C" or "A", look for the signs)
600 South 43rd Street
Philadelphia, PA 19104-4495

USP is located in University City. Driving directions are
available at, or, both of which have an aerial
view of the campus buildings. USP is also easily accessible by
public transportation.

There will be an open Question & Answer session at 7PM, prior to
the main presentation at 8PM. This is an open meeting; all are
welcome and encouraged to attend.

Usually, a number of members get together after the meeting at a
nearby restaurant for food and perhaps a beer or two. Come join
the camaraderie!
