Re: [PLUG] Waaay Off-Topic: Good Drone for Christmas? |
So this was actually something I wanted to gift-to-self early this year but I'm actually going the Millennium Falcon quad when the price gouging stops. Just stress relief toy for me :) Before that though I was looking at Syma models... Another one I saw was the Cheerson / Phantom Pathfinder. That's a more "serious" model. http://www.amazon.com/Pathfinder-Quadcopter-CX20-Helicopter-Phantom/dp/B00JKI3TMY/ref=sr_1_10?s=toys-and-games&ie=UTF8&qid=1447978310&sr=1-10&refinements=p_36%3A1253564011 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UxNxeKERsD8 ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Keith C. I've got my heart set on a drone for Christmas. Primarily, I want to get a real-time birds-eye view from the air. I don't need fancy station-keeping or programmable flight paths (although that is also very cool). I just want to vicariously fly over my neighborhood with a real- time video feed (and recording, of course). My budget will be $400 - $600. Anybody got a good suggestion? There are a bazillion of them out there, and I'm kinda overwhelmed with selecting one.
