[PLUG] [plug-announce] Wed, Jun 7, 2017: PLUG Central - "The SMACK Stack" by Ben Hindman and Elizabeth K. Joseph (7pm at USP)

PLUG Central will be meeting on Wednesday, June 7 at USP in
Philadelphia, beginning at 7pm. Directions to the meeting location
at the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia can be found at
the end of this email.

This month we welcome a pair of speakers: Ben Hindman is the
founder of Mesosphere and co-creator of the Apache Mesos and
DC/OS technologies, and Elizabeth K. Joseph works as a Developer
Advocate at Mesosphere, and is the author of Common OpenStack
Deployments and The Official Ubuntu Book.

They will be joining us to talk about the SMACK stack (Apache
Spark, Apache Mesos, Akka, Apache Cassandra, Apache Kafka) and
how it's revolutionizing fast and big data workloads. They will
cover a brief overview of each of these technologies, how they
work together, and how you can get going with all of them quickly
on DC/OS with a live stream data processing demo.

Hope to see you there!

Usually, a number of members get together after the meeting at a
