After jumping through a bunch of hoops to get a physical server
converted to a VMWare Workstation VM, I'm almost there but have a weird
issue: the system boots to a certain point and hangs. The last things
displayed are:
>sr0: scsi3-mmc drive: 1x/1x writer dvd-ram cd/rw xa/form2 cdda tray
>Uniform CD-ROM Driver Revision: 3.20
I've tried turning off the "connect at boot" option for the CD drive and
this still occurs.
How would I fix this?
Does it have anything to do with lines that start like these in
/etc/fstab that are in the original server's file but seem to be missing
from the one in the VM?
>tempfs
>devpts
>sysfs
>proc
