Re: [PLUG] We need speakers for February

+1

From what I remember the last round we did of new talks (with Anthony, Joe and I) were well attended. My impression was in total, that pulled in new members.

From informal survey's at Central last year it seems that most new members are finding us through MeetUp and most of those attendees are newer to Linux and want to learn more.

This time around in addition to the typical intro it would be good to also include doing installs on embedded devices such as Beagle Bones and Raspberry Pis. so I'd be willing to do that too.

Since I brought it up, I'm willing to do this with Beagle Bones or Fitlets (I'm always raving about those and they are x86 instead of ARM) if there is an interest. I'll be referencing them in other talks I'm working on for this year anyway.

+1 for intro talks.

Some of us have been using Unix and now Linux for 30 or more
years, but always willing to sit through an intro class to see what
might have changed that we missed, or how someone presents
and organizes the stuff we already know.  And always nice to meet
new folks.

BTW, I've been busy Mondays with a new ping pong club that
opened in West Chester PA, and tying to organize activities to
attract more players so the club can be financially viable.
Otherwise, it's not going to last long.  Any players out there?
Newbies and experts welcome.  Some of our players had never
played before a couple weeks ago, and some are ranked top 100
in the state of PA.  Wide range of skills!  Let me know...
