[PLUG] Yearly kernel code metrics published

It's that time of year again. The register published some code metrics on the kernel. I highlight this because I want to know the reasons behind some of the comments on syatemd mentioned. I am not here to start a flame war but I would like rationale as to the information backing the arguments.

The article referenced: https://www.theregister.co.uk/2020/01/06/linux_2020_278_million_lines_of_code_in_the_kernel_13_million_in_systemd/
