Re: [PLUG] An alternative to Zoom: Sangoma Meet

Keith,

I just looked into it briefly as I'm writing some tips for my mailing
lists about Zoom, Jitsi Meet, etc.   I too am encouraging Zoom
users to switch to Jitsi Meet.  I'll try to remember to post a copy
here for those of you who don't subscribe to my lists directly.

Seems like Sangoma Meet is a server running Jitsi Meet.  Just like
Git is hosted at GitLab, BitBucket, GitHub, etc.  Jitsi Meet is
hosted at http://meet.jit.si, http://meet.sangoma.com, and a
few others.

At:
it says:

"Our software stack is built upon several open source tools,
including Jitsi Meet, FreeSWITCH, HAProxy, Prometheus,
Grafana, collectd, and other tools used for provisioning,
deploying and managing the service.

I did a pretty long call with my brother today and the experience was very good.  As far as I can tell the typical functionality is there.  Most importantly, no accounts and after you start a new meeting there is "i" with a circle around it in the lower right which has the URL you can cut and past.  The password is there too.
