[PLUG] [plug-announce] Tue Nov 10 - PLUG North - "Who needs a home phone, anyway? Running Asterisk at home." by Jonathan Simpson (7pm online)

PLUG North will be meeting on Tuesday, November 10, beginning at
7pm. The meeting will be online. Details are at the bottom of the email.

This month, PLUG welcomes back Jonathan Simpson. Jonathan will be giving a talk
entitled "Who needs a home phone, anyway? Running Asterisk at home."

    Jonathan Simpson will discuss why the age of home phones is dead,
    and why you should have one anyway. The talk will include an intro
    to setting up FreePBX and connecting it to the world, some insight
    into the internals of how it works, and some cool tricks you can
    do with your snazzy new phone system.

We'll be using Jitsi Meet, a free and open source videoconferencing
platform, for the meeting. The meeting will start at 7 PM. The talk will
start at 7:15. Q&A and general chat will follow the talk.
