I agree, there is some good stuff in there. But this is the most awesome list I've seen, just came across it in an also awesome (so far) book. List: https://datascienceatthecommandline.com/2e/list-of-command-line-tools.html And there's a Docker container with ALL of those tools! Read: https://datascienceatthecommandline.com/2e/chapter-2-getting-started.html `docker pull datasciencetoolbox/dsatcl2e` Book: https://www.oreilly.com/library/view/data-science-at/9781492087908/ * Data Science at the Command Line, 2nd Edition * by Jeroen Janssens * Released August 2021 * Publisher(s): O'Reilly Media, Inc. * ISBN: 9781492087915 * Code: https://github.com/jeroenjanssens/data-science-at-the-command-line * Site: https://datascienceatthecommandline.com/ * Read for free: https://datascienceatthecommandline.com/2e/ * https://datascienceatthecommandline.com/2e/list-of-command-line-tools.html If anyone is wondering why I'm suddenly posting about a bunch of new books, if's because I've been playing around on the https://learning.oreilly.com/ (used to be Saferi books online) site. I got a new phone and it's just barely big enough to make reading books like this on it not totally unbearable. So I've gone a little nuts... (Which will surprise no one who knows me. :) Actually, reading the book is OK, reading the examples is...pretty bad. But since it's all just for fun I can go figure the examples out, or grab stuff off Github or whatever if I need to know.
