[PLUG] ntp...how do I know it's working?

Is there a quick way to find out if ntp is working correctly?

/usr/sbin/ntptime
ntp_gettime() returns code 0 (OK)
  time c4096a01.8c6e4000  Mon, Mar 22 2004  8:34:57.548, (.548557),

ntp_adjtime() returns code 0 (OK)

  time constant 0, precision 1.000 us, tolerance 512 ppm,
  pps frequency 0.000 ppm, stability 512.000 ppm, jitter 200.000 us,
  intervals 0, jitter exceeded 0, stability exceeded 0, errors 0.

I'm using the basic configuration ... no keys, no PPS
synchronization...just the basic.  The fact that I got (PLL) for the
status, does this mean everything is ok?  I'm assuming over time the
"stability 512.000 ppm" will decrease and this is a measure I can check
to see if everything is working.

What do you use for your firewall rules?

# 192.5.41.41 is tock.usno.navy.mil
# 128.91.2.13 is timeserver1.upenn.edu
-A INPUT -p udp -s 192.5.41.41 --source-port 123 -m state --state
ESTABLISHED -j ACCEPT
