Cant help but continue this semi offtopic thread, but I have personal connection to this.

My father was in the army in Vietnam. He understandably held back a lot of details, but every now and again he'll open up and tell me a story. Just last year he told me his platoon would scout around the mountains surrounding Chu Lai Airbase. He would radio in the coordinates of enemy encampments and then would watch as a battleship in the Gulf shelled the target. I looked it up and discovered it was the New Jersey.

I commuted over the BFB and saw that ship for over 10 years without knowing that. I wish I knew that when he was more able bodied- I would take him on a tour.

So the voice calling into to that radio room for real could have have been my father.

Happy fathers day to you all this weekend.
