Confirmed - June 30th - "An Introduction to Objective-C" by Chris Heimark

Hi All,

Thanks for voting.  The meeting will be on the 30th and held at Wharton's Huntsman Hall in room G50.  If you did not RSVP yet, please do so here: http://doodle.com/kv2db7k7fn7g76hd

3730 Walnut Street 19104

The room will be available starting at 6:00PM and the meeting will start at 7:00PM.

Here's the description Chris has provided:

• I’ll touch on:
 • major language features
 • show examples
 • based on current XCode environment
 • essentially an extended, but informal overview

• Presentation won't be about:
 • nuance of OOP; or
 • advantages & disadvantages of language features; or
 • the details of underpinnings such as the memory model.

And here is a little bit of a background:

Chris Heimark is a software engineer who for 35+ years has worked
on small systems like desktop PC's and embedded systems. He made most
of his living off of PC's, but recently decided to make Mac software
and then, even more recently, iPhone software. He has spent the last
3+ years making iPhones into useful devices, with over 90 applications
(many collaborative) in iTunes, including the QVC app.

Thanks,

Aaron
