Re: [PhillyOnRails] osx VWM

The flipping back does not happen in my experience nearly as often as
you described. How many screens did you have in a row? If you hit the
arrow twice and have two screens, it will go all the way around
(depending on your settings.)
If anybody has a better suggestion, I am all ears.

I have two problems with Virtue (on Intel). One is sending things to
a different desktop as you mentioned (even though there appears to be
a keyboard shortcut setting for this, it doesn't seem to work), and
the other is that when I use the keyboard shortcut to switch to the
next desktop, about half the time it immediately switches back to the
previous one.

I use Virtue because it is Universal and pretty fast. The docs, well,
I couldn't find any... Enough fooling around in the menus and
discovering shift-tab (which lets you reorder your windows) lead me
to a better understanding of it. There is no easy way to send
individual windows accross screens (AFAIK) but minimizing in one,
switching and then restoring works just fine for most apps.
Oh, and I now use Parallels (www.parallels.org) for VM so I can run
legacy operating systems and browsers (like xp and ie6 / ie7 public
beta.) It is in beta now, but pretty cool nonetheless. FAST xp
install from disk image.
