O'Reilly has a whole bookshelf of orange oracle books available
(the ones with all the bugs on the covers). Most of them are written
by Steven Feurstein (sp?) IIRC.

Oracle is a very complex topic, so one of those books should help you
to write Oracle apps, but many of them won't be applicable (like the
DBA type books).

As far as I know, Oracle 8i is just Oracle 8 "plus more stuff".
It's also quite new, so I think it's unlikely to find many meaty
intro books on Oracle8 + 8i features.
