I will also vouch for FastNet. I have had experience with them on the commercial side, and know a few people who work in the NOC/ Carry beepers for them. They're a first rate shop with very good connectivity. As a sidebar, You should not concern yourself too much that your ISP 'supports' linux. What is important is that they embrace standard technology (i.e. PPP) for dialup. I'd ask if they have subscribers who use Linux (or other non MS os's) and be content with that. I generally hone in on frequency of busy signals, down time, speed, etc. Lots of luck. Andy : :I've been really happy with FASTnet (www.fast.net). Even though they don't :"officially" support Linux, I was able to get someone (at 1:30AM, no less!) :who walked me though debugging my PPP script, so they do have some :expertise. : :Cheers! :-- Tracy :-----Original Message----- : -- To unsubscribe, send a message with the word 'unsubscribe' in the subject or body of your message to plug-request@lists.nothinbut.net
