As far as I know, you could run X server on your Windows machine. Doing that
you have access to both Linux and Windows GUI. There are several X server
software for windows, Exceed and Reflection are among them. They do vary in
performance, feature and stability. There are freeware of X server too. But
I didnot try myself. Besides GUI, you can use Samba to share drives and
printers between Linux and Windows.

Controlling Windows machine from linux is kind of hard, or at least there's no
way that I'm awared of. Please keep me posted on that. Laplink, Netmeeting
and other do provide "remote control" to windows machines, I don't know any
Linux software that can do similar thing.

For short, X Server and Samba help you have total control of you Linux box
from Windows, thanks to flexibility of Linux. But I don't know how to control
Windows from Linux.

Good luck on your search, and please share you'd find.
duy.
