Respawning too fast?

Dear everyone:

At boot-up, just before getting the 'login: ' prompt, I'm getting the message:

  INIT: ld "mo" respawning too fast: disabled for 5 minutes


I am able to go on and login, things seem to run okay, but I'd like to
look into what this message might mean.  Any tips?  What's "mo", for
starters?

This message started appearing a day or two ago, and I think the only
thing I had done just prior to it was to load 'efax' for faxing, which
also seems to work just fine.

This is on a Fujitsu laptop running RedHat 5.2 and the K Desktop
Environment, by the way.
