I've installed all the latest Debian packages (which, unfortunately, have _still_ not caught up to 1.0), and I've installed a few newer pieces from sources. I found it very easy to install (of course, installing Debian packages is always a piece of cake). Installing the source components was easy but time-consuming. The source components co-exist nicely with the Debian packages. Two thumbs up.
