Well, I think there's your clue.  No machine used for testing is going to be
very stable.  I've managed to lock Unix boxen up solid when developing
(device drivers, scheduler mods).  I'm running a small network with NT
workstations talking to an NT server with Oracle and never have a problem.
Of course, that's after all the problems I had getting everything set up in
the first place.  But once you get NT configured and settled down, it's
really pretty reliable.  Still honks me off that I have to reboot every time
I install new software, though, just because MS can't figure out how shared
libraries are supposed to work.
