RE: [Plug] Worldlynx

Read the fine print. They only guarantee 384KB. Anything above that is
nice.
What gets me is the $750 "setup" fee. If they don't install the antenna,
what the heck are they charging for? A drive-by radio check? Regardless,
we're still going to give them a call as my boss has pretty poor phone
lines.

Did anyone check out Worldlynx???
they're offering 1.5Mb *wireless* for 135/mo!!!!
Holy Shit!!! T1 to my house!!!!
Now I gotta convince my neigbohrs that they need to pay be 20 bucks per
month to
piggyback off of me (I'm not worried about connectivity times, 'cause
they're
not on frequently) instead of AOL/Bellatlantic.net.
*Wow* T1 to my house...*Glee!!!*
'Course I'd still have to justify a $100/month expenditure to my Financial
Advisor, and "But, it'd be *really* cool!!!" won't work. Hmmm...
Or maybe I can barter with them, I'll do work for you, and you give me a
break
on the charge.
Does anyone know off the top of their head the max distance for a node on
10B-T,
using Cat-5?  It's like 50 meters, correct?
