Maybe (altho I've never had to re-install the entire Windows; very occasionally, the dialup adapter or modem drivers). But a full re-format and re-install? Never. (hardly ever any need to re-format; just delete the C:\WINDOWS directory - this removes Windows while leaving your data directories intact). Had her dial a different POP; no other configuration changes. Problems went away. Now, if you were an unknowledgable user, which would you rather try first - dial a different phone #, or reformat & re-install, hoping you have good backups of everything? We're going nowhere - if you're happy with VN, fine. My experiences, as well as the experiences of many others I know, over a period of time have convinced me otherwise. _______________________________________________ Plug maillist - Plug@lists.nothinbut.net http://lists.nothinbut.net/mail/listinfo/plug
