a friend of mine bought the netgear networking kit.  it came with 2 
10/100 pci cards, a 4(?) port 10baseT hub, 2 decent rj45 cables, and some 
software (for MICROS~1 i'm guessing).  he paid around $60 i think and the 
hardware works fine in his linux box.  i don't know of any others but 
this one seems to be a good bet.
