I did a quick search on Google (nifty search engine, BTW) on "JET database linux", and the closest I got was a utility from IBM that converts JET databases to DB2, but I'm pretty sure that isn't it. I will admit, however, that I didn't check out all the results; only about the first 30 or so of over 2200. A search of the Microsoft site didn't turn up anything, except a listing of the platforms supporting JET, which were Intel and Alpha Windows. Offhand, I can't think of how you could have the MS Access engine already running on your Linux system, unless he was referring to using Star Office on Win32 systems. Or maybe if you have it running via WABI? Michael W.
