I don't know if this will help, but it _is_ possible to suppress the
Sender: header using Netscape by doing the following:

add

"user_pref("mail.suppress_sender_header", true);" 

to

~/.netscape/.preferences.js

and when you restart Netscape, it should stop having a Sender:
header.  Then you just have to worry about the From: being correct.
