Oh yeah, the > client software is also from IBM. Yeah, this sounds like an IBM 3270-oriented application. There's a communications package available for Win32 called "Rhumba". I don't know if there's a Linux equivalent, but it's a place to start. I'm not sure what communication or network protocol it uses to communicate (I never used it at the one place I was at; I managed to avoid having to order supplies). Michael W.
