I started with an ide drive I pulled out of an old machine running 3.1 (only scsi in my machine, and I wanted a raw drive) The most twistedist part for me was wondering how to repartition and install, and then realizing that I needed a dos boot floppy w/ fdisk on it to boot vmware off of. I then formatted the new partition (w/ system), shut vmware back down, used linux to copy the windows .cab files over to the vmware disk (this is why I needed a raw disk), booted off the dos formatted disk (under vmware), and began the installation (under vmware). It really is rather sweet, and you should at least try the demo. __________________________________________________________________ PGP fingerprint = 03 5B 9B A0 16 33 91 2F A5 77 BC EE 43 71 98 D4 darxus@op.net / http://www.op.net/~darxus "There is no spoon." _______________________________________________ Plug maillist - Plug@lists.nothinbut.net http://lists.nothinbut.net/mail/listinfo/plug
