For what its worth,  I used Worldnet with Linux for 3 years (prior to
returning to the UK).  They have a technical help site called wurd
(Worldnet Users Resource Directory -
http://www.wurd.com/wurd/software/dialers/index.htm) - provides info on
connecting with lots of OS's. - nice little perl script for use with
Linux.
