We're not Microsoft's Marketing Department.  Odd that you can't credit
myself, or my co-workers, with forming our own opinions.

I don't claim that Microsoft is perfect. Never have.  People that do are
idiots.  I have the same opinion about people who think nothing Microsoft
does is good.

Why should they bother?  Why should they deal with the rancor of the Linux
community?

One more time.  They don't have a problem with Linux, the platform.  They
have a problem with it's community, which is the lion's share of its
support.  Getting meaningful support is part of most needs, and people
aren't seeing it.
