Re: [PLUG] Xfree86 4.0

I did end up fixing the problem, but only by completely removing X and then reinstalling. The first time I used apt-get to install several X packages, the second time I just installed the one task-x-window-system package. I guess there was a messed up dependency of some type, because I set up XF86Config exactly the same way both times (just left FontPath at it's default).
In any case, I've moved on to trying to play some games now. I'm pretty sure I followed the directions right but I don't think agp is really working. If anyone has set up a G400 with GLX and wants to help out, let me know, I can only think of one or two more things to try before I hit a wall...

I just recently had this problem too.. for some reason xfstt got messed up
and wouldn't load.. I just reinstalled xfstt and X worked again..
I'm assuming X was screaming because it couldn't load something that was
listed in it's FontPath.. so if theres a FontPath in your XF86Config that
doesn't really exist, comment it out and X should work..
