Bill,

When you get a page fault at a virtual address, before you've turned
on a hard drive swap partition, it's likely that there has been an 
error in RAM.

It seems that you may have up to 7 SIMMs of memory, and any one of
them could have a problem, but probably *only* one of them.  Maybe
just try reseating all of the SIMMs first.  If the problem persists,
pull one and only one at a time to track down the offender.

That's what I would try.
