I'm talking about MEETING ROOMS at libraries... they are typically enclosed off enough from the rest of the library in such a way that noise is not a problem (after all, they show movies, have presentations, discussions, other meetings there, etc..) A group I used to belong to used to have meetings at the Bensalem library, and I believe there are some decent meeting rooms elsewhere, such as at the Northeast Regional Library, and probably the central library... Also, my suggestion is to have, say, an advertised (flyers in the library, notes in the librarys newsletter, on the library's website, etc..) Demo Day and then a week or two later, have the Installfest.. or even maybe just an all-day event the first half=demoday, the second=installfest... except the problem with an all day event is that it doesnt allow people to go home and say "yes, I want this on my computer and need help." Also, when was the last time you were in a library? They're all getting computers for surfing the web, checking email, etc, these days, and they're always packed... hmm... okay, so maybe they're packed with people who dont have systems at home, but... 8) ______________________________________________________________________ Philadelphia Linux Users Group - http://plug.nothinbut.net Announcements - http://lists.nothinbut.net/mail/listinfo/plug-announce General Discussion - http://lists.nothinbut.net/mail/listinfo/plug
