ftp://ftp.cs.umb.edu/pub/misc/crypt++.el

this should allow you to transparently edit files which are encrypted,
and the new version (2.88) allegedly added gpg support. I used it a
year ago with pgp2.6.2 on a sun box, but I haven't tried it since. It
is now on my harddrive and I'll probably play with it.

Service Packs ensure that, if any piece is found to work less infrequently
than 9% of the time, the offending code is brought into line, and fails as
often as the spec calls for. Jeff Gostin <jgostin@shell2.ba.best.com>
