It's also "ok" to just take an existing /etc/mail/sendmail.cf or /etc/sendmail.cf file and place it where sendmail is looking for it....the "linux" standard version is availible with the sendmail source tarball. This will give you an uncustomized but working setup. As for as more detail about configuration, most of the options are listed in the source tree (ftp://ftp.sendmail.org/pub/sendmail/sendmail.8.11.2.tar.gz), under sendmail-8.11.2/cf/README > Dirty way? The "bat book" (o'reilly sendmail) is still an excellent guide, even though it's a bit outdated now. The backgroung and config info still holds true. - -dwild -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.4 (GNU/Linux) Comment: For info see http://www.gnupg.org iEYEARECAAYFAjqJWG0ACgkQmFSlcxy4R4+9swCgjV0yg6X/1Kpu37N5Jdyi1GcU 45wAoKC1I7UhsWbiUUeq3eHvv89Mm0iw =5PvN -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- ______________________________________________________________________ Philadelphia Linux Users Group - http://www.phillylinux.org Announcements-http://lists.phillylinux.org/mail/listinfo/plug-announce General Discussion - http://lists.phillylinux.org/mail/listinfo/plug
