I take it you got no response from Linksys?

I remember some folks in the computing center over here at
Swarthmore badmouthing Linksys cards in general, but as I recall it
was because they failed to see any network wider than the switch to
which they were directly connected. Also as I recall, we switched
from 3com to HP switches in the dorms this year. Perhaps our new
switches are choking off this bogus ethernet traffic, breaking
Linksys functionality?

I'll make some queries in the computing center here, if you'd like.
